A number of local Christmas parades are coming up this weekend.
Argo’s Christmas parade will take place Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. Lineup for the parade begins at 8:30 a.m., and those wishing to participate in the parade can bring a completed form to lineup. The parade will be followed by activities at the Argo Village, including an appearance by Santa and by parade grand marshal Emma Owen, Miss Tennessee Valley Outstanding Teen. There will also be drawings for gifts for participants and spectators, including a 50 inch Sanyo flat screen television.
The Center Point Christmas parade will take place Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at Cathedral of the Cross and end at the post office.
The Clay Christmas parade will take place Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Lineup will begin at Clay-Chalkville High School.
The Trussville Christmas parade will take place Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. and will go through downtown Trussville. The day’s festivities will conclude with the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree at West Mall, where hot chocolate and entertainment will be provided.
