The Jefferson County Science Olympiad was held Saturday, Jan. 21 at Center Point High School. Elementary schools from across Jefferson County competed in33 events. Science Olympiad is for students from third to sixth grade.
Pinson Elementary is the only school with a team made up of only second graders. They competed in all 33 events; Joe Kimani won third place in the Free Fall event, Savannah Gargus & Simeon Watson, III won second place in Bridging the Gap, Beau Burroughs and Joe Kimani won second place in Pasta Transporter and Johnathan Johnson and Noah White won first place in Grab a Gram.
