The K-1 Trussville Huskies recently defeated Thompson to win the Jefferson-Shelby Youth Football League championship title for their age group.
The team, which is comprised of kindergarten through first graders, went undefeated at 6-0 in the regular season and topped Thompson 25-12 on Oct. 26 in Hoover to bring home the title.
Trussville bested Pelham 41-6 to make it to the championship round.
The K-1 Huskies scored 235 points in their six regular-season games while allowing only 30.
The members of the team are: Urban Hays, Hunter Futrell, Jack Floyd, Bowman Dahlke, Landon Rowan, Carter Cobb, Maddox Howard, Hudson Hodge, Kolton Head, Sam Williamson, Brady Johnson, Jonah Nelson, Coleman Wood, Samuel Reeser, Levi McGlaughn, Stetson Kloepfer, Searcy Ellis and John Carson Koehler.
The head coach of the team is John Futrell. He is assisted by Brandon Hays, Justin Hodge, Michael Koehler, Robert Reeser and Josh Wood.
There are four other teams from Trussville that are still in the JSYFL postseason in their respective divisions, including the third, fourth, fifth and sixth-grade teams.
