SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Texas — Multiple people are either dead or injured after a shooting Sunday at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, about 30 miles east of San Antonio, according to CNN.
According to a spokesman for local police the shooter was killed after a chase, but it is unknown at this time if the suspect was killed by police or committed suicide.
A man walked into the church at around 11:30 a.m. according to police. A witness from a nearby gas station told CNN she heard about 20 shots ring out in quick succession while service was underway at the church.
The exact number of fatalities and injuries is unknown at this time, but multiple outlets are reporting at least 20 dead.
