AUBURN — Auburn University head football coach Gus Malzahn is staying put, according to ESPN.
Malzahn, who has been the head football coach at Auburn since 2013, was offered a deal by the University of Arkansas. Malzahn coached at both the high school and collegiate levels in the state of Arkansas before coming to Auburn.
Malzahn has reportedly agreed to a new deal at Auburn, though the exact terms are not yet known.
CBS reported that Arkansas offered Malzahn $50 million over seven years. Malzahn was set to make $4.725 million a year through 2020 at Auburn.
The Tigers are 45-21 under Malzahn.
