From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic will soon be opening a new clinic in Trussville, according to a release.
Andrews Sports Medicine-Trussville is scheduled to open Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.
The 3,748 square-foot clinic is within the newly-opened St. Vincent’s Trussville outpatient facility at 7201 Happy Hollow Road.
The state-of-the-art facility, off Deerfoot Parkway, is easily accessible from I-59.
“We are excited to be opening a Trussville clinic to better serve Northeast Jefferson, St. Clair, Blount and Etowah Counties and surrounding communities.” said Samuel R. Goldstein, MD, an orthopaedic surgeon and managing partner at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center.
Goldstein goes on to state, “While this clinic is going to be a welcome addition to Trussville and surrounding communities, Andrews Sports Medicine-Trussville is going to be a game changer for the area’s student-athletes and their families.
“As the official sports medicine provider for the majority of the area’s local high and middle schools – from Clay-Chalkville, Hewitt-Trussville, Moody, Oneonta, Pell City, Pinson Valley, Springville to St. Clair County to name a few – we’re confident many kids and parents will no longer have to miss a half day of school
and work traveling to St. Vincent’s Birmingham to be treated at our main clinic.”
Andrews Sports Medicine-Trussville will be open Monday through Friday and staffed by Cherie B. Miner, MD and Chris Carter, MD.
As non-surgical orthopaedic and sports medicine physicians, both work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, nutritionists and coaches to provide comprehensive, non-surgical treatment to patients of all ages.
Drs. Miner and Carter treat all types of orthopaedic medical issues, including sports-related and non-sports-related injuries and osteoarthritis in joints.
They treat patients of all ages and all types of musculoskeletal injuries from sprains, strains, fractures and sports-related concussions.
