BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Corner’s Office has identified the man who was struck and killed by a train in southwest Birmingham Tuesday, according to Carol Robinson.
Perry Lewis Dandridge, 60, was traveling on foot on 17th Street Southwest when he was struck and killed by an Amtrak passenger train around 3 p.m., according to authorities. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to determine what led to Dandridge being hit and killed by the train.
