From the Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
BIRMINGHAM —An 18-year-old Birmingham man has been charged with the shooting death of his twin brother, Carol Robinson reports.
Elie Miller was killed Wednesday night while allegedly attempting to steal a car with his brother, Kenneth Miller. According to police, the two men entered a still-running vehicle outside a King City Food Mart, which still had a passenger inside. When the vehicle’s driver, who was inside the store, noticed the attempted theft, the subsequent fight led to shots being fired. One bullet fatally struck Elie Miller.
Police have not released who they think fired the shots, but Kenneth Miller is being charged due to state law, which says that someone participating in a felony crime resulting in a death can be charged with felony murder.
Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards described the case as “so unfortunate.”

Damn just damn. Dude loses his brother and gets charged for it. A simple car jacking escalates into this. I’m not justifying robbery but I’m not justifying this stupid law either

“Simple Car Jacking”

Glad he was charged. If they had not tried to steal a car, especially one that had a person inside, neither would have been harmed. If they had not been stopped, what would have happened to the passenger inside the car? One can only imagine. The driver did the right thing.

Criminals should be held accountable for their crimes. In this case one criminal got killed & the other criminal is getting charged. Thankful for this law.
