BIRMINGHAM –A Birmingham police officer’s face was grazed by a bullet and a citizen was wounded when shots were fired at the 2500 block of 16th Street North.
The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. outside a nightclub which was closing at the time. The officer was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both the officer and the civilian are expected to be okay. Police do not have a suspect in custody.
