ST. CLAIR COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a driver in St. Clair County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The crash occurred today on U.S. 78 near Camp Winnataska in St. Clair County at around 8:39 a.m. ALEA said that the driver entered a curve too fast on roadways that were too wet, causing the car to leave the roadway and strike a tree.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending positive identity by a coroner and notification of next of kin.
