BIRMINGHAM — A man was injured by rifle fire as he was stepping out of his home, according to a report by Carol Robinson.
At around 2 p.m. today a man in southwest Birmingham stepped out of his residence in Alameda Terrace Apartments on Alameda Court and was injured by gunfire from two men inside a small vehicle. He was shot in the legs and possibly in the neck area. There were at least 12 shots fired, the report said.
Police arrived from the West Precinct and transported the victim to a hospital where he is listed in serious condition. No suspects have been arrested yet.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
