BIRMINGHAM – A man who was shot outside of his apartment yesterday has died of his injuries, according to the Birmingham Police Department. The victim has been identified as Clifford Harris, 29, of Birmingham.

Yesterday, police from the West Precinct responded to a report of a man being shot at an apartment complex at 1733 Alemeda Court. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported by Birmingham Fire and Rescue medics to UAB Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Harris died at around 6:30 p.m.
It was reported that at least 12 shots were fired from a car with two occupants. Police learned that Harris was shot outside of his apartment as he was leaving. No suspects have been brought in.
The Birmingham Police Department continues to investigate.
