TRUSSVILLE — A line-up has been announced for the upcoming 38th Annual Trussville CityFest slated to take place on May 5. The headliner for the festival this year will be Alabama natives Sweet Tea Trio.
According to thee Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, Sweet Tea Trio has opened for concerts by Kid Rock and Bon Jovi. They are from Alabama but are residents of Nashville, Tenn. Opening for Sweet Tea Trio will be local musician Jackson Capps.
Other performers are still being confirmed. CityFest will feature activities for both adults and children, including balloon twister, a magician, face painting, demonstrations. All children’s activities are free.
Food vendors will be available. The Coca-Cola Food Court will be located again this year at the concrete area close to the vendors.
The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will end with a fireworks display. Admission is $5 per person, though children two or under get in for free. Paid admission includes a coupon for a complimentary Coca-Cola drink.
Opportunities for volunteers and vendors are still available.
The festival is being produced by TACC, with Trinity Contractors being the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors include Amerex Corporation, Massey Stotser & Nichols PC, Bryant Bank, Riders Harley Davidson, McSweeney Automotive/SCA Performance, Capps Painting, Hitchcock Maddox Financial Partners, and the City of Trussville.
