BIRMINGHAM — Detectives are investigating the homicide of an unidentified male found this morning, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
At 7:32 a.m. officers from the West Precinct along with Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to a report of someone lying in the roadway of Slayden Avenue and Oakmont Street.
Officers discovered that the victim was a black male with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
