PINSON — A man from Pinson was pronounced dead early this morning after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates of the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office. Another man, a Morris resident, was killed in the accident.
The incident occurred on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on the 6800 block of Narrows Road in Pinson when a Toyota Tacoma carrying Samuel Jeremy Kennedy, 41, of Morris, turned into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra. Richard Thomas Justice, 78, of Pinson, was an occupant of the Tundra
Kennedy was rushed by medics to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 7:44 p.m. Justice was also taken to UAB Hospital and was pronounced dead at 12:10 a.m. this morning.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
