TRUSSVILLE – During a meeting of the Trussville City Schools Board of Education, Board President Sid McNeal announced a two-year contract extension for Dr. Pattie Neill, Superintendent of Trussville City Schools.
Dr. Neill’s contract was effective through June 30, 2020.
“The Trussville BOE is excited to review Dr. Neill’s acceptance of a two-year contract extension, which restores her contract back to its original four-year length,” said McNeal. “Over these last six years with Dr. Neill at the helm, we have made meaningful strides in all areas of our school system, including student care and safety; academic achievement; athletic accomplishment; exceptional and special needs; financial stability; and physical infrastructure.
We look forward to the next four years under Dr. Neill’s continued leadership.”
The two-year extension was the only change in the first amendment to Neill’s existing contract. With the board’s unanimous approval of the time extension, Neill’s contract is effective through July 2022 as Superintendent of Trussville City Schools.
“I want to thank the board for the contract extension which comes at a perfect time before our April retreat where we will develop the next phase of our strategic plan,” said Neill in response to McNeal’s announcement on Monday night.
I’m proud of our students and our entire educational community. It is an honor to work tirelessly with this board as we advance Trussville City Schools to the next level of excellence.”
