PINSON — Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a suspect that was involved in a hit and run incident on Highway 75 in Pinson.
Heather Thorn was traveling north on Highway 75 with her one-year-old son on April 8. At around 7 p.m. a car behind her sped up and struck her car as it tried to pass. Thorn’s car spun out and stopped on the grass next to the road while the suspect car fled to possibly Remlap or Oneonta in Blount County.
Thorn and her son were not seriously injured in the incident. She said that the driver appeared to be a white male possibly in his mid 20s driving a car that is believed to be a silver, four-door Nissan Alta. The vehicle will have damage to the front passenger side and possiblly red paint from Thorn’s car.
