From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — When Rotary International President Ian Riseley of Australia took office last summer, he challenged Rotarians around the world to plant one tree for each member in their clubs.
The 2017-18 presidential theme is ‘Rotary: Making a Difference,’ and on Saturday, April 21, The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club did just that.
The Club planted about 60 trees in Civitan Park in downtown Trussville. The trees were planted throughout the recently renovated greenway project area.
The Club meets at Spare Time Entertainment located at 3600 Roosevelt Blvd. in Trussville at 7 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.
