BIRMINGHAM — With weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close ramps on the I-59/20 and I-65 interchange starting tonight.
At 11 p.m. tonight, ALDOT will close the ramp on I-59/20 Southbound to I-65 Southbound from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to set bridge girders. This will continue until May 11.
“Traffic on I-59/20 NB will be directed to take the Arkadelphia Road exit, turn left and get on I-59/20 NB. From there they can take the next exit onto I-65 NB.”
A reduced speed of 45 MPH is in effect as construction takes place. Closures will require the presence of law enforcement officers.
