RUSSELLVILLE –The Tigers were looking good with a one run lead heading into the final two innings against Russellville. But a 6th inning three run surge pushed the home team passed the Tigers, ending a solid 25-13 season, as Russellville took the playoff series two games to one.
Russellville started the scoring early, picking up a run on the first inning for a 1-0 lead. They added another in the third for a 2-0 lead.
Then the Tigers struck back when Brant Brown picked up an RIB on a fielder’c choice in the top of the 4th. Then Chase Isbell ran home on a passed ball to tie the game 2-2.
Russellville edged back out front 3-2 when they scored a run in the bottom of the inning.
Springville came right back to tie the game 3-3 on a Brandon Daniels homerun. The Tigers then took the 4-3 lead when Isbell again made Russellville pay for their mistakes and scored on an error.
In the bottom of the 6th, Russellville put 3 runs across for the 6-4 final.
