BIRMINGHAM — A homicide investigation is underway after police discovered the body of a man in west Birmingham who had been dead for several days, according to BPD spokesman Lt. Pete Wiliston.
Yesterday officers from the West Precinct were dispatched at around 7:10 p.m. to the 700 block of Albany Street in Birmingham on a report of a deceased person. When they arrived, they discovered the victim, later identified as Juan Williams, 39, a black male.
His death was classified as unknown until the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office ruled it a homicide. Police continue to investigate.
