BIRMINGHAM – A 23-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after allegedly hitting two women with her car during a dispute outside of a McDonald’s in Birmingham, according to Carol Robinson. The victims were a McDonald’s employee and her 40-year-old mother, who was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on May 23 when the victims became involved in a dispute with Cortensia Hall, who is accused of intentionally hitting them with her car. According to the report, the mother spit on the windshield of Hall’s car during the dispute before the assault happened. Afterwards, Birmingham Police responded to the scene.
The daughter sustained minor injuries while the mother was taken to the hospital where she was sedated with a small bleed in her head. She is expected to recover.
Hall is being held at the Birmingham City Jail until she is transferred to the Jefferson County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
