BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is asking for help in identifying seven robbery suspects that the authorities say are targeting women at convenience stores.
Recent robbery incidents have occurred between June 9 and June 11 that police believe are connected. According to BPD Public Information Officer, Sgt. Johnny Williams, the suspects have been robbing females as they were entering and leaving their vehicles near convenience stores at hours varying from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The incidents happened at Mobile Food Mart at the 2200 Block of Bessemer Road, Marathon Station at the 1800 Block of Bessemer Road and Spur Station at the 900 Block of Pike Road.
Camera footage captured images of the suspects.
