From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
HOOVER — Weather permitting, Tuesday, July 24th between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation said traffic will be shifted from its current alignment on John Hawkins Parkway (SR-150) to a new temporary alignment on the newly constructed bridge.
This shift will occur between Ross Bridge Parkway and Lake Cyrus Blvd. For this upcoming phase, traffic will be shifted into 2 lanes on the newly constructed bridge which will allow the grading, drainage, and asphalt work on the south side of the project to completed.
Traffic will be congested.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
ALDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation network across Alabama.
