CENTER POINT — The victim of a hit and run incident that took place last week in Center Point has been identified.

Johnathan Oneal, 22, of Birmingham, was identified as the victim of the hit and run, which occurred on Thursday, July 19 at Carson Road and 16th Terrace Circle Northwest.
Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office discovered him at around 10:30 p.m. that night before he was taken to an area hospital but was pronounced dead. The driver is believed to have left the scene where the fatality occurred.
Oneal had not been carrying identification with him at the time, delaying the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office in making an identification. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office have not announced any arrests of suspects.
