From The Alabama Department of Transportation:
ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Weather permitting, Wednesday, August 1 at 7 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the left two lanes of Interstate 20 Westbound for pavement milling operations from the Cook Springs exit (Milepost 152) to the Brompton exit (Milepost 147).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 2.
This same lane closure will be in place from 7 p.m., Thursday, August 2, to 6 a.m., Friday, August 3.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
