Search underway in Pinson for a suspect considered armed and dangerous

PINSON –Law enforcement officials from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and U.S. Marshal’s are searching for a man in Pinson that they believe to be armed and dangerous. The search is in the woods near the 6800 block of Ashberry Drive in Pinson.
Michael Mullins, 37, is wanted for domestic violence, including physical harassment, strangulation, suffocation and harassing communications
Mullins is a white male. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds with hazel eyes and dark hair. He will have tattoos on his arms and chest. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and jeans.
Dogs and helicopters were involved in the search.
As of 10:50 p.m. Friday evening, officials said the search has been suspended for the evening unless more information develops.
