CALHOUN COUNTY- Tuesday morning at 11:50 a.m. a single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 77 in Calhoun County approximately ten miles south of Ohatchee.
The driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old Robert Bryan Howard, died when the 1996 Dodge Ram pickup-truck left the roadway and flipped over. Howard was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was a passenger in the Ram truck at the time of the incident. A 16-year-old male was found on scene and evacuated to UAB hospital, via helicopter, where his injuries were attended to.
Alabama State Troopers are currently investigating the event.
