Fire in Fairfield on Wednesday morning, two escape

From the Trussville Tribune staff reports

FAIRFIELD — On Wednesday morning there was a fire at a home on Terrace Avenue in Fairfield, as reported by WIAT 42.

Firefighters responded to the incident and immediately set about taming the inferno.

The fire was not limited to the house.  It spread out of the house and to two cars that were in the back of the home.  It is not clear what damage was done to the vehicles but there was significant damage to the inside of the house.

At this point fire officials are of the opinion that the fire began in the back of the residence.  There were no injuries due to the fire.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
