Elections were held all across the state of Alabama today.  The Trussville Tribune will be reporting the returns until the last race has been decided.  Updates will be frequent and will be made available as the results come in.

GOVERNOR

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Kay Ivey

Kay Ivey (R) 60% with 1,014,821 votes

Walt Maddox (D) 40% with 686,774 votes

LT GOVERNOR

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Will Ainsworth

Will Ainsworth (R): 61% with 1,037,170 votes

Will Boyd (D): 39% with 642,542 votes

ATTORNEY GENERAL

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Steve Marshall

Steve Marshall (R): 59% with 997,411 votes

Joseph Siegelman (D): 41% with 695,086 votes

SECRETARY OF STATE

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for John Merrill

John Merrill (R): 61% with 1,024,741 votes

Heather Milam (D): 39% with 651,131 votes

STATE AUDITOR

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Jim Zeigler

Jim Zeigler (R): 61% with 1,010,905 votes

Miranda Joseph (D): 39% with 658,272 votes

SUPREME COURT CHIEF JUSTICE

With 99% of precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Tom Parker

Tom Parker (R): 58% with 968,262 votes

Bob Vance (D): 42% with 715,244 votes

US HOUSE DISTRICT 6

With 98% of the precincts reporting the Tribune is calling the election for Gary Palmer

Gary Palmer (R): 69% with 190,501 votes

Danner Kline (D): 31% with 83,935 votes

JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF

Mark Pettway (D) 51.4%

COUNTY COMMISSIONER

98% precincts reporting

Joe Knight (R): with 62.3%

J.T. Smallwood (D): with 37.7%

JEFFERSON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY

98% precincts reporting

Mike Anderton (R) 43.3%

Danny Carr (D) 56.7%

Yes: 72% with 769,153 votes

No: 28% with 304,008 votes

AMENDMENT TWO: ABORTION POLICY

74% of precincts reporting

Yes: 60% with 657,752 votes

No: 40% with 436,362 votes

AMENDMENT THREE: UNIVERSITY TRUSTEES

With 98% or precincts reporting the Tribune is projecting that the amendment will pass

Yes: 60% with 818,513 votes

No: 40% with 539,682 votes

AMENDMENT FOUR: LEGISLATIVE VACANCIES

With 98% of precincts reporting the Tribune is projecting that the amendment will pass
