PINSON — Due to the threat of rainy weather Saturday morning, the City of Pinson’s Christmas Parade has been moved to Sunday.
Pinson’s annual Christmas parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1. Mayor Hoyt Sanders announced the change of events Thursday morning.
“In an abundance of caution, we are moving the parade to Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m.,” Sanders said. “All local forecasts project rain and possible storms on Saturday a.m.”
The 2018 Christmas Parade theme is ‘Christmas Movies’. The parade will begin at Pinson Valley High School and end at Pinson Triangle Park.
The city’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be this Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at Pinson’s Bicentennial Park, 4200 Oak Street West.
