BIRMINGHAM — A suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash after robbing a Brinks truck at an east Birmingham ATM on Christmas Eve morning, police said.
The robbery occurred in the 9200 block of Parkway East at a stand alone BBVA ATM location, Carol Robinson reported.
The suspect used a chemical spray on the driver of the armored vehicle before taking off with the cash. The driver was treated by paramedics called to the scene.
Police are searching for the suspect and have a description of the suspect’s vehicle, but have not released that information to the public.
