SPRINGVILLE — The Springville varsity boys basketball team sits at 14-1 in the 2018-2019 season. The team’s only loss came in the first round of the Springville Christmas Classic on Dec. 26.
The Tigers won the Champions Sports Academy Christmas Classic championship on Dec. 23, in which they defeated Ohatchee, Weaver and White Plains to become tournament champions.
The Tigers average 65 points per game and are led by some impressive scoring with three players averaging over 10 points per game. Senior Chase Isbell leads the team with 12.7 points per game. Senior guard Max Harrison sits a shade under Isbell with 12.5 points per game. Junior guard Hudson Kersh averages 10.8 points per contest and also leads the team in assists per game with four.
The Tigers will be back in action on Jan. 4 with a home game against Moody and look to continue their winning ways as they defeated the Blue Devils 66-38 in their earlier matchup back on Dec. 4.
