DUKE FIELD, Fla. — A sentencing date has been set for a decorated military veteran who confessed to smuggling 40 kilograms of cocaine, worth over a million dollars, on a transport flight from Colombia to the United States, according to federal documents.
ABC33/40 reported that Master Sgt. Daniel Gould was arrested Monday after U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency found “40 kilograms of cocaine in two military backpacks on a military airplane in Columbia.
Gould entered a guilty plea in December. He and another co-defendant were indicted.
