TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council will consider raising the speed limit on two roads when it meets in regular session on Tuesday night.
Ordinances are on the agenda to raise the speed limit on Queenstown Road from 25 mph to 35 mph, and increase the speed limit on Green Drive from 30 mph to 45 mph.
Council President Jef Freeman said the move comes after a recommendation from the Public Safety Committee, which followed a study from the police department.
“The thought on Queenstown is to make it consistent through various jurisdictions,” Freeman said.
The city council meets at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Trussville City Hall.
