Authorities said that Steven Randolph Hall had been picked up and was in custody as of Tuesday afternoon. Hall was brought in by a task force created especially for his capture.
After receiving a tip about Hall’s whereabouts, the team went to a location in Fultondale and were assisted by members of the Birmingham Police Department.
According to law enforcement, the task force was able to confirm the address where Hall was staying. A search of the residence revealed the subject hiding in the corner of the home’s basement. Hall was taken into custody and transported to the Blount County Correctional Facility.
“I want to thank all the Blount county citizens who gave information, prayed and encouraged us during this time,” said Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon. “Thank you is not enough to say to the men who worked tirelessly on this, but thank you from the bottom of my heart (and) thank you to everyone who worked on this. Rewards will be coming for the fantastic work done by all involved. I love Blount County and the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.”
