TUSCALOOSA — All three schools in the Northridge area are on lockdown, according to the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
Authorities reported that the precaution has been taken in response to reports of a white male suspect in the area of Northridge High School that was armed with a handgun. Police were first made aware of the situation at around 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
Tuscaloosa Police Officers and Tuscaloosa County Deputies are in the area and searching for the suspect, according to authorities.
