TRUSSVILLE — The Design Review Committee approved plans for new construction of a 6,000 square foot Sherwin-Williams at 1980 Gadsden Highway. The current Sherwin-Williams location at 234 Main Street will close once its existing lease expires and the freestanding store is complete.
The DRC also approved plans for a community pool and pool house in Winslow Parc, a DR Horton neighborhood currently in development off Liles Lane.
Other existing businesses receiving approval for exterior signage modifications include Rock n Roll Sushi, Performance Physical Therapy, Goo-Goo Car Wash at 3295 Morrow Road, and Shell gas stations at 5965 Chalkville Road and 1120 Chalkville Road.
The group also approved the following:
•Room addition to residence in 100 block of Magnolia Street.
•Geico building sign, which will occupy the former RadioShack location at 5950 Chalkville Mountain Road.
All exterior modifications to businesses and residences within the downtown overlay district are required to present plans to the Trussville Design Review Committee for approval. The Design Review Committee meets every fourth Monday at 6 p.m. at Trussville City Hall.
