BIRMINGHAM — According to Birmingham Police Sgt. Johnny Williams, East Precinct officers and detectives have made three arrests in connection with multiple robbery investigations.
On Thursday, Jan. 17, East Precinct officers observed three suspects in the 300 block of 83rd Street South. The suspects were in a Dodge Ram pickup that was reported stolen out of Fultondale, Williams said.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspects refused and a brief vehicle pursuit ensued. A short time later, the suspects wrecked at the corner of 66th Street and First Avenue South. All three suspects were taken into custody.
Investigations by BPD robbery detectives revealed that the suspects have been identified as the suspects in several crimes.
Four robbery first degree warrants have been obtained against Corey Bullock, 21, of Birmingham. Additional warrants for receiving stolen property and attempting to elude have been obtained against him.
The second suspect has been identified as Leondre Maddox, 18, of Birmingham. Three robbery first degree warrants have been obtained against him. An additional warrant for attempting to elude has been obtained against Maddox.
The third suspect has been identified as Domonique Blair, 28, of Birmingham. A warrant for attempting to elude has been obtained against Blair.
Officers and investigators believe the suspects were planning to commit a robbery at the time of the arrests, Williams said.
