Update: Carrington, South Chalkville, Camp Coleman now scheduled to close March 11 due to railroad maintenance

TRUSSVILLE — Norfolk Southern will be performing crossing maintenance at several areas in Trussville starting on March 11.

The work had originally been slated to begin on March 4, however, Norfolk Southern has delayed that and is expected to give two days’ notice before the work begins.
According to a social media post from the Trussville Police Department, there will be alternate routes open for the Camp Coleman Road and Carrington Drive crossings. Motorists are thanked for their patience with the expected delays.
The road through the former Goldkist plant will be utilized during the closings of Commerce and Camp Coleman. The back gate out of Carrington, which accesses Blackjack Road, will be used during the Carrington closing.

Camp Coleman Road
