PINSON — Nominations are wanted for the Pinson Education Foundation Banquet in May.
Joe Cochran said nominations will be taken March 25-April 14 for the teacher, student, or support personnel of the year. Winners will receive a plaque and a cash award. There will also be two character awards presented from each of Pinson’s four schools. The winners will also be eligible for grants and scholarships.
According to Cochran, the foundation will be awarding a total of $10,000-$11,000 this year, depending on how much money is raised.
The eighth annual Pinson Education Foundation Banquet will be May 6 at the Palmerdale Homestead Community Center. Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Metro Director Bill Gray will be the guest speaker.
Nominations can be submitted online at www.pinsoneducationfoundation.org. The Pinson Education Foundation will choose winners from nominations.
