VESTAVIA HILLS — Springville varsity softball triumphed over Vestavia Hills 11-0 at Wednesday’s game.
Abby Swaney pitched a shutout giving up zero runs, one hit and striking out seven. Swaney pitched for six innings.
Pitching for Vestavia Hills allowed 16 hits and 11 runs with one walk and two strike outs.
The offense for the Tigers was on point with four runs being scored in the top of the fifth inning thanks to runs driven in by Karli Davidson, Sandlin Short and Swaney. Springville had a total of 16 hits for the day. Short Davidson, Swaney, Makalyn Kyser, Kyndall Gipson and Emily Robinson put up multiple hits for the Tigers.
Vestavia Hills had one error for the game.
Springville had zero errors for the day.
