BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is looking for assistance in identifying suspects in a robbery investigation.
According to police, the robbery occurred on Thursday, May 9, at approximately 7:12 p.m., when three suspects entered the Metro PCS located at 2017 Avenue F., Ensley. Once inside, the suspects demanded money as they pointed guns at an employee and a customer.
The suspects took money from the register and left the location on foot, heading eastbound towards an alley.
Once outside, the suspects were confronted by a citizen with a handgun who fired at the suspects. As the citizen chased the suspects, he was hit by a vehicle that was driven by a fourth suspect.
