Trussville denies rezoning for apartment building

The Trussville City Council on Tuesday approved a resolution in opposition to proposed rezoning on Chalkville Mountain Road to accommodate an apartment building.
By opposing the Cialis online sale rezoning of 5841 Chalkville Road from agricultural to multi-family, the council is essentially asking the Jefferson County Planning Commission and buy cialis online the Jefferson County Commission to deny the request and pursue commercial interest in the property that would benefit the county and citizens.
The stated use of this property, which is on Midway Church Road, would be for an “apartment building for the elderly (ages 55 and older),” according to the Viagra pills for sale resolution.
The property belongs to the county but it touches Trussville city limits. The land is near the Wal-Mart shopping center and across from the Kohl’s shopping center area, a largely commercial area of Trussville. An apartment building wouldn’t be a good fit, according to the council.
“We, as a council, oppose that,” said Councilman Buddy Choat.
The Planning & Zoning Commission of Jefferson County will have a public hearing Thursday at 1 p.m. for all property owners within 500 feet of the subject property regarding the requested change in zoning. The hearing will be in Room 270 of the Jefferson County Courthouse in Birmingham. Applicants and/or their representatives attending the hearing should present any drawings, sketches, models or plans and answer questions from the Planning & Zoning Commission. Applicants will be allotted 15 minutes to explain the intended use of the property, including the buy flagyl online initial presentation, rebuttal and any time used by other people speaking in support of the proposed change.
