By Gary Lloyd
Many area seniors are expected to sign football scholarships Feb. 6.
Pinson Valley wide receiver Earnest Robinson is expected to sign with Auburn University, where he has been verbally committed for nearly a year.
Linebacker Zach Cunningham will also make his college decision. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Cunningham is considering many offers but is expected to choose Auburn, Vanderbilt or Tennessee.
The Pinson Valley signing ceremony will be at 2 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. I’ll be on hand to provide updates. Follow them on Twitter @GaryALloyd.
At Clay-Chalkville, wide receiver DeAndre Woods is expected to sign with Vanderbilt, where he has been verbally committed since October. Linebacker Brandon Fuller and defensive back T.J. McCollum, both UAB verbal commitments, are expected to sign with the Blazers.
The Clay-Chalkville signing ceremony will be at 1:45 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
At Hewitt-Trussville, defensive back Luke Davis may be making his college decision. Davis, who has an Alcorn State offer, is visiting Jacksonville State and Toledo this week. Western Kentucky and Austin Peay have expressed interest. Davis has also visited Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
No word yet on a time when a possible signing ceremony may be at Hewitt-Trussville.
