A 19-year-old Pinson man has been charged with burglarizing his neighbor’s home, according to authorities.
Tony Devon Wilson has been charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft of property, said Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Christian.
Deputies responded about 10:18 a.m. Monday to a burglary alarm in the 6600 block of Heatherbrooke Circle in Pinson. When they arrived at the home, a male was seen opening the basement door and quickly closing it.
The suspect ran out of the back door of the home and responding deputies conducted a search of the area and located the suspect a few minutes later, Christian said.
Wilson was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation revealed that the suspect was the neighbor of the victim. An Xbox, laptop and tablet computer that were stolen were recovered, Christian said.
Wilson posted $3,000 bond and was released from the Jefferson County Jail, Christian said.
