Former Alabama, Clay-Chalkville player invited to NFL Combine

Former University of Alabama and Clay-Chalkville defensive end Quinton Dial has been invited to the 2013 NFL Combine.

The list of combine invitees was released Wednesday night.

The combine is Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The 2013 NFL Draft is April 25-27 in New York City.

NFLDraftScout.com rates Dial as the No. 27 defensive tackle prospect for this year’s draft.

Dial, a 2009 Clay-Chalkville High School graduate, played in 14 games this season and recorded 22 tackles, five tackles for loss, four quarterback pressures and one sack. He recorded a season-high six tackles, including one stop behind the line, in a 21-17 win at LSU.

He added one stop behind the line against Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship.

Dial played in 25 games over the last two seasons, both national championship seasons for the Crimson Tide.
