Trussville Rangers win Moody tournament

Trussville’s 11- and 12-year-old Rangers brought home a tournament championship trophy earlier this month. The preseason tournament played in Moody included 16 teams, six of which were from Trussville.

The Rangers defeated the previously unbeaten Trussville Mets in the championship game, 5-4. The Rangers played four straight games in one day to clinch the tournament.

Team members include Chandler Dailey, Austin Collar, Jacob Sabatini, Carson Beaver, Grant Riccio, Andy Poole, Luke Coffman, Brayden Turner and Jake Cottle. The team is coached by John Poole and Don Collar.
