Two Hewitt-Trussville Middle School students have art displayed in the Birmingham area as part of Youth Art Month.
Samantha Gagliano has her artwork displayed at the art gallery at Samford University in conjunction with the statewide Visual Arts Achievement Program. Her art remains up through Thursday
.
Gagliano’s work is a mixed media flowers in a vase and was made by drawing with glue on dark paper, drying it and using oil pastels to add color.
Chloe Kidd’s artwork is on display at the Birmingham Museum of Art in conjunction with National and State Youth Art Month. Her work remains up through the end of April in the education wing at the museum.
Kidd’s painting is a large owl painted with bright colors of tempera paint.
Sixth-graders have a small art show at the Trussville Public Library this month in conjunction with Youth Art Month. Students who have work on display in the library’s youth department include MacKenzie Barnett, Jacob Bishop, Katie Bonham, Tristen Bumpers, Robin Dunn, Maddie Earnest, Abbey Gaiser, Sally Gamble, Lauren Golden, Brandon Kirkland, Jodey Kyle, Nadia Mughal, Noah Rigg and Ethan Yasko.
Their work will remain up through the end of March.
Another 12 middle school students have artwork displayed at Compass Bank in Trussville.
