National Weather Service issues Hazardous Weather Outlook for Jefferson County

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook and Flood Advisory for Jefferson County, including the Trussville area.

According to the NWS, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms after 3 p.m. this afternoon through 6 a.m. tomorrow morning with damaging winds and large hail possible across most of central Alabama.

The Flood Advisory says minor urban and small stream flooding is possible in poor drainage areas in central Jefferson County, including the city of Trussville. The Advisory is in effect until 9:45 p.m.
